Earlybird Deadline: December 20, 2023

Short Film: $15
Feature Film: $30

Regular Deadline: January 15, 2024

Short Film: $25
Feature Film: $50

Rules & Terms

Submissions may be of any genre and length and should be made by or about people of African descent. Films completed within the last two years are preferred.

Due to the location of the festival, non-English language film submissions must have English subtitles.

We may accept DCPs, Blu-ray disc copies, or high-definition film files, for festival projection depending on program needs.

The NYAFF will not accept watermarked films for public presentation.

The NYAFF will not present films that are already available to stream online or view on public television.
